Fernando A. Beltrán

Dr. Fernando A. Beltrán is the regional Vice-Minister for Science and Technology
in the Aragon regional Government.
He was professor of the University of Zaragoza (Spain), teaching in the School of Telecommunications Engineering. He was the Head of Department of Electronic Engineering and Telecommunications for six years (1995-2000), and Vice-Rector for Informatics and Telecommunications for three years (2001-2003).
His previous position in the regional Government (2003-2007)
was Director General for Information Society Technologies.
Engineer degree and doctorate in electronic systems. Complementary
studies in Oxford University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology
and Stanford University. Research activities, and different
publications, in Digital Signal Processing, especially in digital
audio signal.
Born in 1964, married with two children. Music is an important
part of his personal and research life.
