Catriona Ward, Manager,
Irish EU R&D Liaison office
Catriona works for Enterprise Ireland, whose focus, for Irish companies, is on five main areas of activity: achieving export sales; investing in research and innovation; competing through productivity; starting up & scaling up and driving regional enterprise.
Catriona is currently the manager of the Irish EU R&D liaison office, based in Brussels as part of the Irish national support structure for the 7th Framework Programme. She has worked closely on the branding and communication strategy for FP7 in Ireland.
Previously Catriona was deeply involved in national R&D funding programmes, in particular in the roll out of a software process improvement initiative in Ireland. These initiatives are focussed on increasing the competitivity of Irish companies on a global scale.
Catriona spent 5 years managing a telecoms testing laboratory in France and some time as a software engineer in the UK.
